User Preferences Guide

The "Preferences" page within UltraLinq offers many options to customize your user-experience.

To access the user preferences, click on "Preferences" in the top-right corner of your exam page, then click on "Change Preferences" on the left.  A brief description of the functions follows.

 

Prefix/First Name/Last Name/Suffix - These change how your name is displayed within the UltraLinq application, and on reports.

E-mail - Used for report delivery, and for password reset purposes.

Code - Used in some workflows, but not all.  If information is received from the modality designating who should belong to an exam, UltraLinq uses the Code to match the exam to a user.  

For example, if your machine sends an "OperatorName" of "1258".  UltraLinq will search through the list of users in your account for anyone with a code of 1258.  If a match is found, the exam is assigned to that user.

Company Name and Address - This is used in some situations for report header information.  If your information does not appear at the top of any reports, this information is not used.

Report Delivery Fax Number - If faxing is enabled on your account, you can configure a fax number for reports.  Note that report delivery is also controlled by settings only available to your account administrator.  

Report Delivery Preference - This allows you to choose a desired delivery format (or not at all).  Note that report delivery is also controlled by settings only available to your account administrator.  Selecting a setting here does not guarantee you will receive a copy of the report.

Send Unread Notification - For reading physicians, you can choose to receive an e-mail notification that new exams have been assigned to you.  This option allows you to select frequency of the e-mails.

Send Stat Notification - Sends an immediate e-mail when a STAT exam is assigned to you.

Exam Listing Default Status - Allows you to choose how your exam list is sorted.  This organizes based on exam status.  You will need to log out/in to apply this setting.

Exam Listing Default Sort  - Allows you to choose how your exam list is sorted.  This organizes based on several criteria, most commonly Exam Date.  You will need to log out/in to apply this setting.

Exam Listing Default Sort Direction - Allows you to choose ordering of your exam list.  For chronological sorting options, "Descending" shows the newest exams first.  You will need to log out/in to apply this setting.

Worksheet Location - This functionality is deprecated, and not used.

Viewer Type - Allows you to toogle between the Flash viewer and HTML5 viewer.  Flash is the default.

Viewer Default View - Allows you to set a default view when loading exam images.

Default Modality - An option for filtering the exam list.  If uploading multiple modalities, you may choose to have only one displayed by default.

Collapse Header on Study Page - If checked, auto-hides the patient demographics on when loading the exam viewer.
