Selecting the Patient Identification Scheme

NOTICE: Changes to the patient identification scheme do not affect existing exams and patients. Changes to the patient identification scheme are only applied to exams uploaded after the changes have been saved.

The patient identification scheme links exams to an individual patient. Fields in the patient identification scheme are not case sensitive. Account administrators can select the patient identification scheme for their organization.

Select the patient identification scheme by following these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Admin page from the header link at the top of the page.
  2. Click the Patient Identification Scheme link.
  3. Select one of the following options:
    • First name, last name, DOB
    • First name, last name, DOB, gender
    • MRN

    Note: Click each option to view examples of matches and misses for the scheme.

  4. Click Save Changes.
