View an exam's Images & Clips by following these steps.
Make sure the exam is visible in the Exam List. Use the Exam Search bar to filter exams if required.
Click the patient's name on the individual exam entry. Or, you can click the Images link on the right side of the individual exam entry.
The Exam page opens to the Clips & Stills tab for that exam. This is the thumbnail view.
From Thumbnail view, double click an image or clip to see it in Single view.
Navigate between images and clips in single view by selecting them in the thumbnail strip. You can also navigate between images and clips using the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard, or using the image controls at the top right hand corner.
View Menu
The following three options are available on the view menu:
- View Controls
- Thumbnail View
- Hide/Show Thumbnails
View Controls
View Controls allows you to navigate between all of the available viewing options. These are split into two categories; Standard Views and Dynamic Views. These viewing options are covered at the bottom of this article.
Thumbnail View
Switch back to the thumbnail view at any time by selecting the Thumbnail View icon from the view menu.
Hide/Show Thumbnails
Hide or show the thumbnails on the left hand side of the viewer by selecting the Hide/Show Thumbnails icon from the view menu. This will allow for a larger viewing area.
Standard Views
There are three options under Standard Views:
- Single View
- Dual View
- Quad View
Single View shows one image/clip at a time as per step 4 above.
Dual view shows the selected image/clip as well as the next image/clip in the sequence.
Quad View shows the selected image/clip as well as the next three images/clips in the sequence.
Dynamic Views
There are two options under Dynamic Views:
- Dynamic Dual View
- Dynamic Quad View
Dynamic Dual view allows you to select any two images/clips to view side-by-side regardless of where they are in the sequence. Drag and drop the images/clips into the empty panels.
Hover over the image/clip in order to activate the option to 'Remove' it from the panel.
Dynamic Quad view allows you to select any four images/clips to view side-by-side regardless of where they are in the sequence. Drag and drop the images/clips into the empty panels.
Hover over the image/clip in order to activate the option to 'Remove' it from the panel.
Pause Clips in Single View
When using the single view you can pause a clip and navigate individual frames using the 'Previous Frame'
and 'Next Frame'
buttons. The currently selected frame and the amount of frames in the clip is displayed in the top left of the viewer.
Press Play to resume the clip.
Pause clips in Dual/Quad view
When using any of the Dual or Quad view options the Pause button will pause all clips. the 'Previous Frame'
and 'Next Frame'
buttons will step through the frames of all the clips in unison.
In order to navigate through the frames of an individual clip, hover over the clip and scroll up or down with the mouse wheel.
